For Jake “kusqt” Jenkins, competition is a way of life. Whether in gaming or traditional sports, he’s always sought an avenue to pursue his passion for competing. Currently, his avenue in competitive Paladins has him taking on the support role for G2 Esports. Kusqt prefers the support role because of its ability to control the pacing of the game (sometimes even more so than DPS or frontliners are able to).
This support superstar has a reputation for his unparalleled investment in Paladins as a game and as a competitive scene—and he touts that he “may not be the most mechanically gifted player”, but he’s one of the hardest workers in the PPL. Longtime fans know this to be true, since kusqt made a name for himself in both the damage and flank roles before he ever took on the mantle of support.
When kusqt heads into Season 2 of competitive Paladins, he’ll undoubtedly be back on the grind and trying to give his team every resource they need to claim victory after victory. And if we’re lucky, we might even see him bust out his favorite champion, Androxus—who he says is “one part edgy, one part meme, two parts carry...now that’s the dream”.
Kus is the only 2 time MVP in the NA Paladins Premiere League.
